Some of the databases that were originally found on the Miller Library webpage—Professional Development Collection, EBSCO Masterfile Premiere, Business Source Premier, etc—are no longer listed due to licensing changes. However, these databases, which are part of the Pennsylvania Power Library, are still available to anyone with a valid public library card. You just need to enter through the public libraries’ website and follow the links to the Power Library. All Keystone students are eligible for a Lackawanna County Library System card. A Pennsylvania public library card grants you access to a host of services and resources from books to music to databases, and all Keystone students are eligible for a Lackawanna County Library System (LCLS) card.
Stop by the Miller Library and fill out your application today, or make your request online. You must identify yourself as a Keystone student on the application, but the process is easy. Visit the LCLS’s online signup page. If you are a Resident student, enter your Keystone Address as your main address and then enter “Keystone College student” and your home address in the comments box. If you are a Commuter student, fill out the form using your home address and put “Keystone College student” in the comments box. The card will be mailed directly to you. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

You can now access most of the Miller Library’s databases from home! All you need is a valid Keystone ID, and PIN number and you can use Proquest, Expanded Academic ASAP and others (Access to LexisNexis is forthcoming) whenever you have an internet connection.
To access, simply visit the Library’s Databases page. Find the database you wish to search and choose the Off Campus link. When prompted, enter the last five numbers of your Student or Employee ID number and your PIN. Your PIN is the last four numbers of your ID. Once you are validated, you need to re-choose the database you wish to search, but once in, you should be able to search and print as if you were on campus.
If the system does not accept your ID or PIN number, you will need to contact the Library to update your account information.
