Harry Potter Books Banned?

Did you know that J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books are the most challenged?

Every year books are challenged and removed from the shelves of libraries and schools. To find out if one of your favorites has been challenged or banned, check out the American Library Association’s list of the “Most Challenged Books of the 21st Century“.

Celebrate your freedom to read. Celebrate Banned Book Week 2006 from September 23-30 by reading a challenged title or entering into the Library’s Banned Book Contest. For details, stop by the Library.
