Interested in going to Shanghai with a Math class?

March 11th, 2010 · No Comments

There is a hope of spring today.  The sun is shinning and 55 degrees.  I’m so ready for warm weather.  This week is Spring Break and even though it has been quiet around here, I sure have been busy.  There are 3 confirmed faculty-led study abroad trips going this summer.  Two to Costa Rica, Global Heath and Environmental courses and one to Italy to study Art.  This is pretty exciting because this is only our second year of offering these courses.  I can already see an interest by the faculty in offering more faculty-led programs for the students.

There is one more program in the works.  The 3 credit course is Math 200A-Mathematics Through History offered by Dr. Youyu Phillips to Shanghai for Summer Session II (July 10-31, 2010).  The students will travel to Shanghai with Dr. Phillips and be housed in shared university housing.   In addition to the class, the cost includes many exciting excursions.  If you are interested in this trip and would like more details, please contact me.
