Faculty-led Trip to Puerto Rico 2016

May 16th, 2016 · No Comments

This year there is a group of students heading to Puerto Rico to take classes and explore the language and culture of Puerto Rico.  The group is led by faculty members Joyce Avila and Jeff Brauer.  Follow the blog to hear about all their exciting adventures!

The first blog post and pictures came today.  The students are in route from San Juan airport to Ponce.  They made a stop at the El Jibraro Statue.  This is a statue depicting  the history of the people of Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico descendants  are comprised of Taino Indians, Spaniards, and Africans.
